Purse String stapler
Disposable pursting single use stapler has application in intestinal, colorectal, esophageal, gastric and cardiac surgery for temporary and permanent purse-string placement. It also places a circumferential strand of 2-0 nonabsorbable monofilament nylon surgical suture, held in place by stainless steel staples. The stainless steel staples are attached to the structure or organ where a purse-string is desired. The instrument is activated by squeezing the ring handles.
